I’ve had a project in the shop for a while. Specifically, a custom desk for my son Eli.
This project has been on again off again for almost a year now, mostly due to the constraints surrounding my ability to get in the shop, the needs of my job, and how busy my family is. I wanted to finish this off before starting something new.
Behold. My son’s desk: Made out of oak, all joinery is hand cut. Finished with tung oil (3 coats) and a bar top epoxy on the top to protect from water. The drawer face is from a piece of wood milled from a tree my son helped me cut down when he was younger.

And now for some pictures of the build process (I should have taken more)

With this project done and off the shop floor I can clean and organize my shop in prep to start the new project in earnest.
Woohoo, cleaning.
